New Year's Eve 2003 in Belgrade
with a city tour, 3 guided walks and a half-day excursion!

Postcards by Studio Strugar

The ritual of celebrating New Year's eve is deeply rooted everywhere, in Belgrade too. As the oldest of all holidays, the celebration of the new year is here even more festal: over the decades of communist regime Christmas Eve had been celebrated only at homes, almost in secret and New Year's festivities have always been an opportunity for people to freely express their sentiments, joy and bliss.

Usually under the snow cover, Belgrade is a fascinating place to be when the old year goes away. That special night you can spend in restaurants with a sit-down dinner (plenty to eat and drink!) or in clubs and bars with light snacks, cocktails and finger foods. On this last day of the year you might stroll down Knez Mihailova Street to admire the store windows beautifully decorated for the holidays, and enjoy roasted chestnuts as you walk. "Srecna Nova godina, Happy New Year!" That greeting will be said and heard many times on Republic Square, where public gathering with a musical program is organized every year.

Turn over a new leaf this year and start 2003 at one of the offbeat, intriguing and challenging places with a seductive atmosphere. Why not start it in Belgrade this time?
